Ingredients

8 ounces linguine
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 oz crabmeat
8 tablespoons Kerrygold® Unsalted Butter, divided
1 tablespoon California Olive Ranch® Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 medium shallot, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Old Bay® Classic Seafood Seasoning
Beer Mixture
~3/4 cup Gose or sour beer
1 tablespoon Cajun Power® Garlic sauce
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Garnish
2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
~1 tablespoon spice mix (See Note)
Grating of Romano Cheese
Sprinkle of North Fork Sea Salt Co® North Flake Salt
Drizzle of California Olive Ranch® Reserve Collection: Arbequina, Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions

Begin heating the water for the pasta. Cook the pasta maybe a minute less than the package directions, leaving it just shy of al dente.

Meanwhile, melt 4 tablespoons of the butter and ~1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Add shallots and cook ~3 minutes until translucent and softened. Add garlic and cook for ~30 seconds.

Stir in beer mixture and OLD BAY. Bring to a gentle boil and reduce mixture for ~5 minutes. Stir in shrimp and cook ~4 minutes until just pink. Add remaining 4 tablespoons butter and mix.

Add crabmeat and cooked pasta and toss gently to coat with sauce. Cook ~3 minutes or until heated through.

To plate, sprinkle with chopped parsley, a sprinkle of the spice mixture, some romano cheese, a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of Sea Salt.

Notes

  • For timing you want the pasta cooked to equal when the sauce is finished, so you can spoon the pasta directly into the sauce.
  • For the crab meat we used leftover crab legs, or you could use a package of lump crab meat.
  • For the garnish spice mixture, mix equal parts, OLD BAY, RealSalt Seasoning Salt, Cayenne Pepper.
  • Instead of parsley, you can substitute with chopped chives.
